On July 5, 2024, at approximately 12:02 a.m., High Point Police responded to reports of gunfire at 2751 East Lexington Avenue, where a large crowd had gathered for an unofficial fireworks display. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
