On February 9, 2023, at approximately 9:25 a.m., 49-year-old Jason Andrades was fatally shot inside his apartment at the Red Hook Houses, a NYCHA complex in Brooklyn, New York. Responding officers found Andrades unconscious with a gunshot wound to his left leg. He was transported to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
