In the Red Hook Houses of Brooklyn, a burst of violence on the morning of February 9, 2023, ended the life of 49-year-old Jason Andrades, a Hispanic male resident of the NYCHA complex. The fatal encounter occurred around 9:25 a.m. at 131 Lorraine St., where Andrades was shot in the left leg.
