On a Sunday evening in April 2015, 30-year-old Steven McKoy was fatally shot in the Cypress Hills neighborhood of Brooklyn. The male Canarsie resident was on Jamaica Avenue at approximately 7 p.m. when the violent encounter unfolded. Surveillance video from the scene captured a harrowing chase, showing a man in a hoodie pursuing McKoy while firing a weapon.
