On the night of April 21, 2023, a young man named Rmeek Lucas was shot and killed in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 11:06 p.m. near the Ingersoll Houses on Myrtle Avenue and St. Edwards Street. Upon arrival, officers from the 88th Precinct found Lucas with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and right leg.
