Ronald Willis Jr., a 15-year-old African American boy from Akron, Ohio, tragically lost his life on October 21, 2020. He was shot multiple times outside a duplex in the 1400 block of Seward Avenue around 4:45 p.m. Despite being rushed to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 5:20 p.m. The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide due to multiple gunshot wounds.
