In the early hours of June 21, 2023, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Rochester, New York, apartment building, leaving one man dead and another critically wounded. Kevin Travis, a 41-year-old male resident of the boarding house at 470 Lyell Avenue, was found shot in a second-floor hallway around 3:30 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
