In the summer of 2021, the life of Lavar Pooh Beard, a 26-year-old male, was cut short by an act of gun violence in Rochester, New York. On the evening of June 4th, the city's North Clinton Avenue was disturbed by the sound of gunfire. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Beard with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but tragically, his injuries proved to be fatal.
