In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 29, 2019, the life of 31-year-old Duane A. Quamina II was tragically cut short by gun violence in Rochester, New York. The fatal incident occurred around 2 a.m. outside a residence on Orchard Street. Quamina was a father, son, and beloved friend, remembered by those who knew him as a calm and laid-back individual with a heart of gold. He was a dedicated father and a caregiver to his grandmother who had raised him.
