Death by Force

On October 15, 2024, at approximately 4:55 p.m., Rochester Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting on Sixth Street, near Bay Street, in northeast Rochester. Upon arrival, they discovered 60-year-old Michael Barksdale Sr. lying in his driveway with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
