On July 22, 2023, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Albany police responded to reports of a shooting near Morton Avenue and Elizabeth Street. Upon arrival, officers found 21-year-old Na'Heim Burbridge with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigations led to the arrest of a 17-year-old suspect on July 25, 2023. Due to his age, authorities withheld his identity. The suspect was charged with second-degree murder
