On October 1, 2023, at approximately 5:10 p.m., 18-year-old Anwah Armbrister and a 15-year-old girl were shot inside a building at 460 East 21st Street in Brooklyn's Flatbush neighborhood. Both victims managed to exit the building after the shooting and were found by first responders near the intersection of East 21st Street and Dorchester Road.
