On August 25, 2023, 16-year-old Jakarah Lopez-Moore left her home on Weld Street in Rochester, New York, telling her grandmother she would be right back. When she failed to return, her family reported her missing on August 29. Investigators found that her phone was turned off less than 24 hours after her disappearance, with the last known location pinging at Clinton and Andrews Streets.
