On November 26, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m., 17-year-old Rayshawn Hines was fatally shot in the head near the intersection of Chester Street and Livonia Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Emergency responders transported him to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The incident was classified as a homicide, and authorities initiated an investigation to identify the perpetrator.
