On a Sunday evening in East Harlem, the life of 25-year-old Harry Mendoza was tragically cut short. The Hispanic male from Washington Heights was at the corner of East 128th Street and Lexington Avenue on March 24, 2024, when gunfire erupted at approximately 7:27 p.m. Responding to a 911 call, police discovered Mendoza and 18-year-old Ashley Ballard with gunshot wounds to their heads.
