In the early morning hours of September 16, 2024, a dispute in the Inwood neighborhood of upper Manhattan turned deadly, claiming the life of 32-year-old Wilmer Rosario. The Bronx resident was inside a commercial building on 10th Avenue when the altercation escalated into an exchange of gunfire. Officers from the 34th Precinct responded to a 911 call around 5:49 a.m. and discovered Rosario with multiple gunshot wounds to his face and chest.
