On April 15, 2024, at approximately 4 a.m., Adrian Mendoza, 24, and Jhombeyker Bisbal, 31, both Venezuelan nationals, were seated in a 2015 Nissan Rogue parked near a McDonald's at East 149th Street and Morris Avenue in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx, New York.
