Death by Force

On May 4, 2024, at approximately 1:40 a.m., 25-year-old Kardell Lester, a resident of Kingston, Jamaica, was fatally shot in St. Albans, Queens, New York. Lester was visiting the United States when the incident occurred near 199-23 Linden Blvd. He was struck in the head by a bullet fired during a drive-by shooting as he stood in a hallway of a building. Emergency medical services transported him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead two days later.
