In the early hours of April 2, 2023, 44-year-old Emanuel Pippis was fatally shot near his residence in Maspeth, Queens. At approximately 3:50 a.m., Pippis was walking past the Paraguayan Steakhouse on 65th Place near 53rd Drive when an assailant approached him from behind and shot him in the head.
