In the early hours of May 24, 2024, a dispute in the parking lot of a gentlemen's club in Albany, New York, ended in the death of 36-year-old Kwon Lillard. A Black / African American male, Lillard was a lifelong resident of Albany, known as a dedicated father, son, and brother. The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. outside Ciro's Place on Broadway, where Lillard sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene, but Lillard was pronounced dead.
