In the summer of 2024, a violent altercation on a Monday evening in Syracuse, New York, tragically cut short the life of 42-year-old Sidney Emuel Comrie, a Black/African American man. On June 24th, at approximately 8:22 p.m., Syracuse Police Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Calthrop Avenue following reports of a dispute.
