On the evening of August 24, 2024, 43-year-old Anthony Brantley was fatally shot during a memorial event in Niagara Falls, New York. The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. near 9th Street and Ferry Avenue, where a longstanding community block party was underway. This event, traditionally held to promote peace, was marred by violence when Brantley was struck in the chest by gunfire.
