On October 6, 2024, at approximately 3 a.m., 35-year-old Lenner Zuniga was fatally shot and stabbed during a birthday celebration in a second-floor apartment on 125th Street near 103rd Avenue in South Richmond Hill, Queens. Zuniga, who had a history of 49 prior arrests, including gun and drug-related charges, was attending the gathering with seven to eight other men when a violent altercation erupted.
