In the pre-dawn hours of a Saturday in Brooklyn, the life of 27-year-old Jose Galloway was tragically cut short. On October 12, 2024, at approximately 3:51 a.m., a barrage of gunfire shattered the quiet in the Flatbush neighborhood. Galloway, a resident of Wortman Avenue, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in front of a clothing store and buffet on Tilden Avenue.
Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Paramedics worked to save Galloway, rushing him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead. Witnesses later recounted hearing a rapid succession of about 15 gunshots, a chilling testament to the violence of the encounter.
