On February 4, 2023, at approximately 7:56 p.m., Ferguson police officers responded to a welfare check in the 100 block of North Marguerite Avenue in Ferguson, Missouri. Upon arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Marcus Allen inside a residence, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ferguson Police Department requested assistance from the St. Louis County Police Department's Bureau of Crimes Against Persons to lead the homicide investigation.
