On the evening of January 16, 2023, a violent incident occurred in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Mahogany Jones. The shooting took place at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of California Avenue. Although the fatal wounds were inflicted at that location, the victim was discovered a short distance away in the parking lot of a Conoco gas station situated at 4355 South Broadway.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the injured female to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
