On January 16, 2023, 26-year-old Mahogany Jones was fatally shot in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of California Avenue in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood. After being shot, Jones managed to reach the parking lot of a nearby Conoco gas station at 4355 South Broadway, where she was found by first responders. She was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
