Early in the morning on Thursday, February 23, 2023, a grim discovery was made in the Ville neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Around 2:30 a.m., officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call regarding suspicious activity and the sound of gunfire in the area. Upon their arrival at the scene, they located the body of a 17-year-old male, identified as Dontaevion Little, lying in a rear alley within the 4200 block of St. Ferdinand Avenue.
