On April 8, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Kansas City police responded to a disturbance at a residence near East 48th Street and Palmer Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Zameyanna Williams in the basement, deceased from a gunshot wound.
