In the early hours of April 8, 2023, the life of 18-year-old Za'Meyanna Williams, a Black female, was tragically cut short in Kansas City, Missouri. Police were dispatched to a residence in the 7800 block of East 48th Street after receiving a 911 hang-up call shortly after 3:30 a.m. While officers were en route, the call was upgraded to a shooting.
