On October 21, 2023, 33-year-old Courtney L. Wickman was fatally shot in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. as she and others were exiting a business at 3835 Main Street. Witnesses reported that a woman fired multiple shots from the parking lot toward the group, striking Wickman, who was not the intended target.
