In the early morning hours of October 7, 2016, 20-year-old Jaycee Loraine Martin was left unconscious in a desert area next to a Circle K on North 91st Avenue in Phoenix. She was discovered about an hour later and rushed to a local hospital, but she did not survive. An investigation revealed that the young woman, a resident of Wittmann, Arizona, had been suffering from a drug overdose when one or more unknown individuals abandoned her in the desolate location.
