On the evening of May 26, 2023, 18-year-old Charles Jones was fatally shot near the intersection of 83rd Street and Troost Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 10 p.m. and found Jones suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries several hours later.
As of December 2024, the Kansas City Police Department has not announced any arrests or identified any suspects in connection with Jone
