On May 30, 2023, 38-year-old Fa Ming "Randy" Pan, owner of St. Louis Kitchen, was fatally shot outside his restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 800 block of North Kingshighway Boulevard. Pan was shot in the stomach and pronounced dead at the scene. A 56-year-old male employee also suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
