In Kansas City, Missouri, on the evening of May 31, 2023, a dispute that began inside a Family Dollar store escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 37-year-old Gregory Murray Jr. The male victim was critically injured when gunfire erupted outside the store, located near Linwood Boulevard and Troost Avenue, following a physical altercation that had spilled out from within the establishment. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
