On October 10, 2023, at approximately 7 p.m., 19-year-old Latrell Prentice was found deceased in an alley near the 3400 block of Osage Street in St. Louis' Dutchtown neighborhood. Officers, responding to the sound of gunfire, discovered Prentice with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
