Death by Force

On October 20, 2023, 18-year-old Myyo Yo Lanos Jr. was fatally shot in Velda City, Missouri. Officers from the Velda City Police Department responded to a call around 5:22 p.m. in the 7000 block of Glenmore Avenue, where they found Lanos lying in the street with at least one gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
