Curtis Banks, a 57-year-old male, was found in the 3500 block of Clarence Avenue on the afternoon of July 27, 2021, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his leg. He was transported to a hospital and later moved to a rehabilitation facility to recover from his injuries.
Despite initial treatment, Banks's condition deteriorated over the following months.
On January 10, 2022, he succumbed to the injuries he had sustained in the shooting. Following his death, the St. Louis medical examiner officially classified the case as a 'delayed homicide,' prompting homicide detectives to take over the investigation.
