On a late Wednesday evening in the summer of 2010, the life of 41-year-old Thomas D. Moore was tragically cut short. Just before 11 p.m. on June 30, Moore was discovered lifeless on the roadway in the 5700 block of Portland Place in Washington Park, Illinois, a community not far from St. Louis. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound in what appeared to be a sudden act of violence that left family and friends searching for answers.
