On November 3, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Kansas City, Missouri, police officers responded to reports of a shooting near East 13th Street and White Avenue in the Northeast neighborhood. Upon arrival, they found 15-year-old Aaron Amparan unresponsive near a red Kia Sportage that had collided with a pole. Amparan had sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
