In the spring of 2017, the body of 57-year-old Timothy S. Rice of Excelsior Springs, a white male, was discovered inside a shelter at Minor Park in Kansas City. The discovery was made on the morning of April 4th after police were dispatched to the area of Red Bridge and Blue River roads in response to an ambulance call. Rice was pronounced dead at the scene.
