Marcus D. Stone, a 22-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost his life on June 21, 2020. Marcus was fatally shot in a city-owned parking lot in the 18th and Vine District after leaving a party. According to reports, Marcus was attempting to protect his friends when he was gunned down. His brother, Keshawn Stone, mentioned that Marcus told his friends to run while he stayed behind to shield them from the bullets. This selfless act ultimately cost him his life.
