On June 21, 2020, 22-year-old Marcus D. Stone was shot and killed in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred in the early morning hours, around 1:45 a.m., in a parking lot near the historic 18th and Vine district. Police officers responded to the scene following reports of a shooting and discovered Stone, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
