On October 7, 2018, law enforcement officials in Kansas City, Missouri, responded to a series of violent incidents that resulted in the death of Jason L. Jones. The 35-year-old Black male was discovered on the front porch of his residence near 112th Street and Eastern Avenue in south Kansas City, suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
