In the early hours of Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, the life of 33-year-old Daniel L. Washington was tragically cut short in a violent encounter in Kansas City, Missouri. A Black man known affectionately as 'Mont,' Washington was a devoted father to five children and remembered by loved ones for his warm, family-oriented nature and his passion for cars and grilling.
