On March 9, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Kansas City, Missouri, police responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 7300 block of Park Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as 29-year-old Steven R. Mentzer, was pronounced dead at the scene.
