On the evening of November 16, 2023, violence erupted at the Blue Ridge Crossing shopping center in Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of 26-year-old Marquise L. Rose, a Black male. Officers were dispatched to the scene near 42nd Street and Sterling Avenue shortly after 9:20 p.m. following reports of gunfire.
