On November 16, 2023, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Kansas City police responded to a shooting at the Blue Ridge Crossing shopping center near 42nd Street and Sterling Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds in separate parking lots within the complex. The first victim, 26-year-old Marquise L.
