Death by Force

On December 8, 2023, at approximately 10 p.m., Columbia Police responded to a reported assault in the 1500 block of Typhoon Court. Upon arrival, officers found 27-year-old Azairah Nocomus Brownlee with life-threatening injuries, including a gunshot wound to the neck. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Brownlee was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
