April Joann Brooks, aged 42, was found dead on November 14, 2022, in Columbia, Missouri. The Columbia Police Department was dispatched to the 2700 block of Blue Ridge Road around 6:45 a.m. after receiving a report of a vehicle running with a possibly deceased driver inside. Upon arrival, officers discovered Brooks' body in the vehicle, and she had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
