In the quiet, early morning hours in rural Chester County, South Carolina, a tragic event unfolded that cut short the life of 37-year-old Latwanyept Shay LaShay Stover. It was around 4 a.m. on a Saturday in November 2019 when Stover was riding in her own 2015 BMW with a man from Fort Lawn named Brandon Ryan Roberts. The vehicle was near the Catawba River and the Lancaster County line, on U.S. 21 at S.C. 200, when Roberts, then 32, fatally shot her.
