Misty Guzman-Castro, 43, a Hispanic/Latina woman, was found shot to death in her car on the evening of July 19, 2025, along the 2400 block of North Lake of the Woods Road in Columbia, Missouri. Investigators later detailed that an argument unfolded inside her vehicle after she met with her boyfriend; according to court documents, he got into her car, produced a gun on Lake of the Woods Road, and when the car pulled onto nearby Geyser Road and stopped, a single shot struck her.
