On July 5, 2020, a violent tragedy unfolded in Columbia, Missouri, claiming the lives of two individuals during what was meant to be a holiday celebration weekend. Officers from the Columbia Police Department were dispatched to a residence near the intersection of Volunteer Drive and Grace Lane shortly after midnight following reports of gunfire.
