On December 24, 2023, a violent incident unfolded in the Northeast area of Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of 20-year-old Nicholas David West. Around 10:00 a.m. on that Christmas Eve morning, police officers were dispatched to the vicinity of 8th and Olive Streets following reports of a shooting.
