Chelsea Williams, 31, a Black female, died on December 26, 2023, after being shot in Kansas City, Missouri. Just after 9 p.m., police were alerted to a shots-fired call near East 25th Street and Myrtle Avenue, in the 2500 block of Myrtle. When officers arrived, they found signs that violence had erupted at a residence, but the injured victim was already gone—rushed away by a family member in a desperate attempt to beat the clock.
